Ben componist, schrijver en filmmaker. Componeerde al vanaf 1988. Mijn vader was klassiek musicus en zijn vader pianoleraar. Later schreef ik ook verhalen en had ook ervaring met een filmcamera. Rond en nabij 2004 maakte ik een korte film over een pop wat tot leven kwam en een docu over een natuurpark. Verder maak ik ook clips helaas met soms te weinig middelen/mogelijkheden. Maar ik ben dan ook niet graag zelf in beeld (of ik moet een zangeres begeleiden). Met muziek begon ik onder de naam SYNTH-O-MATIC . Ik maak muziek met behulp van keyboards en synthesizers en combineer allerlei stylen en ben in allerlei vormen van muziek thuis van synthypop tot new age tot dance, trance, techno, pop, disco, soul, ballad, ambient. Ik hou geen bepaalde stijl aan. Ben tevens ook een geluidsartiest.

The real name of HUTTIE or EMWO1970 is Emile,
son of a classical musician (who sangs, played the lute and a lot of other instruments. His father was a pianoteacher)
Emile grew up with Bach, schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Beethoven on father's side and The beatles, Joni mitchel, Elton John, Gerry rafferty and a lot of folk on mother's side and of course the music of the 80's. His main interest was the german female singer Sandra also because of Michael Cretu behind it.More music he liked (and still): Howard jones, Jean Michel Jarre, Pet shop boys, Erasure, kraftwerk, Yello, Human league, Depeche mode, A-ha, Kate bush..Later Adamski, Enigma, Enya, Orbital, Delerium, Björk (who he admire very very much).Other music he likes are: Amy winehouse, Within Temptation, and on and on and on..is to much to name...
In 1988 he thought a bassline on a little keyboard what he later made to a instrumental track called "Life" Then he notice his singing talent and did a little playback and sounmixshow what he won. After that he made singing and raptracks with sometimes a instrumental track under the name SYNTH-O-MATIC. In this period he collect more and more instruments and recording equipment. He also performed live. In his early life he also had a female singer for two known songs like: "Sunny" from boney m and "Satin doll" from Duke ellington and Billy strayhorn, where he made his own arrangements under it. Only "Satin doll" stays..
Today, he re-recorded his old tracks (to make something new of it), experiment a lot, write stories and make little films. He made allready more than 18 cd's off his music. He is not only a keyboard/synthesizer freak and a composer, but also a soundartist who likes traditional recording ways, the sound of analog, back or bynoises and a lot of other surprising byeffects what makes his music more original. He likes to improvise, to experiment on all levels. He would even use a very old synthesizer or unusual things where is music in it!
He got also interested in filmmaking. He allready made a docu and a short film. Some fragments of the docu is showed in the video "The earth" . The docu's backgroundmusic is lute music from his Dad.
